What a great response from the community! Over 30 residents showed up and shared their desire for a more sustainable Glenview at the October 27 meeting held at the Glenview Public Library. Thank you to everyone who came.
Co-Founders Mary Munday and Sheri Latash led a 90-minute meeting that talked about why start Greener Glenview now, how the Greenest Region Compact is a valuable framework for a more sustainable Glenview (and region), and what are the next steps for Greener Glenview.
Attendees talked about their issues and concerns regarding sustainability in Glenview. The issues were written on poster paper and attendees circulated around and voted on the different topics raised by others in the room.
After voting on different issues/concerns a lively discussion followed with powerful conversations around similar goals. We'll post the results in detail when we've compiled the data.
