No, the drinks aren't green.  But the conversation is!

What is GREEN DRINKS GLENVIEW?

Green Drinks is an international phenomenon where people who believe in the environmental movement meet up at informal sessions.  It’s a great way of catching up with people you know, making new contacts with like-minded people, and sharing information.  These events are very simple and mostly unstructured.

How does GREEN DRINKS  GLENVIEW work?

The event is free. We'll start at 7:00 PM.  When you arrive, you are welcome to get a beverage at the cash bar and socialize for the first 20-30 minutes.  Around 7:30 a local expert will present a short informal program (15-20 minutes) on a timely topic.  After that, you can hang around and continue socializing.

December 6 Program:  Village of Glenview Winter Preparedness:

How does the village balance environmental stewardship in the winter with safety and fiscal responsibility?  How do the de-icing agents affect parkway trees?  What are best management practices in responding to snowy and icy weather?  Public Works Director Phil Perna and Deputy Director Joe Kenney will address these questions and offer advice on minimizing damage to your property from ice melt products.  Bring your questions about winter readiness and other issues in the domain of public works!

Let's build Glenview's environmental network...and have fun while doing it!
